Well, you have the supposed facts but you don't have the situation down at all. If you are the home town radio station, I'd sure like to see what an unfriendly town station would say. I am appalled.

First of all, the executive committee who 'decided' this, is comprised of all New Braunfels competitors. They were principals and AD's from all the 5A schools. Every school is a direct competitor. Gee, who do you think is going to benefit from this? Talk about no jury of your peers. Well, here KGNB, let's have you investigated for something, and then we'll have all of your competitive other radio stations who directly compete with you, vote on whether you should be punished. Gosh, I can't figure that out. And you could certainly tell that all those schools were against NBHS from the very start, except Smithson Valley. The great "Jerry Comalander" was one of the most adamant ones AGAINST NBHS.

Oh, and wait. That same class has gone on at Newk's for 27 years; it is in the catalog as "Newk's tennis", by the way; is the NBISD really trying to hide something do you think? And KGNB do you not recognize that maybe, just maybe, those other schools are jealous of the recent success of New Braunfels tennis and that is why they are raising this issue? Did your reporter let you know that they filmed NBHS kids without the kids knowing? Wouldn't that be against the law? Oh, and should the kids who are just told what to do, not follow direction? So you think Mollie King, that these poor kids should be penalized by a class developed 27 years ago, before any of them were born?

Next, they are talking about the difference of them leaving at 3:10 versus the regular students getting out at 3:50. 40 minutes is the difference. Newk's lessons don't even really get going until 4:00 basically anyway. So Mollie, do you think they won the state championships because they got out at 3:10 versus 3:50, and didn't even start tennis until 4:00'ish anyway?

And while we are at it, KGNB and Mollie, do you not think that many other schools have kids that leave for sporting reasons at PE time? I am told that the Westlake swim team regularly goes to U of Texas with no coach, and spends 2 periods there, with the UT coaches coaching them. Other sports kids from other schools such as Clark football, have football kids go for 3 days and then go off to a personal trainer for 2 days. So what is different? Nothing. Many schools do this. Those ignorant principals who are just jealous don't have a clue as to the can of worms they opened.

And by the way, everyone who is good at tennis in the entire country has to take private lessons. They have no choice. All schools and kids do this. New Braunfels was just upfront about it. And as a result, the kids who bust their rears, have no support from their community (that is you Mollie and KGNB), might lose their hard-fought state title.

KGNB, please support the town.

We have utility services from companies other than NBU. Please recognize this fact when you report that to take bulky items to a drop-off point we will have to show a NBU bill. Tell us who won our precinct elections. We all live on the east side of County Line Road. We feel ignored. BooHoo!

Trying to listen to the Pct. 1 and Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace debate which was aired on the Comment Show this a.m. (Feb. 20) but it is not available under your podcast link. The only debate available is the County Judge Race??? When will it be available for download along with the other contested races such as the Commissioner's races, etc.????

We say the helicopter out late last night hovering over the area with a spotlight and wondered what was going on. Seemed to be scouting the area south of 2673 though, not even over the lake. I'm assuming that's what the helicopter was out there for. Very strange. Are they thinking the man was abducted possibly?
